Meet the Team
Paul R. Wittke, DVM, CVA
Dr. Wittke is a 1993 graduate of Oklahoma State University. Over the years he has developed special interests in acupuncture, integrative medicine, and surgery. He has three sons: Eric, who graduated from Indiana University and is currently living and working in Chicago, Troy, a Senior at Purdue University majoring in aviation, and Jacob, a Senior at William Henry Harrison High School. His wife, Lori, retired from the Air Force after 24 years of loyal service and is now pursuing her interests in painting. His dog, Leia, is a 11 year old Sheltie mix who enjoys destroying stuffed toys and barking at horses. The newest addition to the household is a Brittany named Ranger, born December 10, 2011. In his free time, Dr. Wittke enjoys developing his salt water reef tank, hiking, being an amateur blacksmith, and practicing the martial art of Aikido.
Camille, Registered Veterinary Technician
Camille is a 1999 graduate of Purdue University with a BS in Animal Sciences and AS in Veterinary Technology. She began her career as a veterinary assistant in her hometown of Michigan City, IN and continued gaining experience part time during school. After graduation, she spent 8 years as a radiology technician at Purdue’s veterinary school. Since joining BGVC in 2007, she has played a key role in hospitalized patient care and staff education. She lives with her husband, two children a cat and a rabbit. In her “spare” time, Camille enjoys horses, crocheting, knitting, sewing, playing with her children and training for triathlons.
Melissa, Office Manager
Melissa is a mom to 2 wonderful teenage boys that are great kids! She has one dog – a black and white pit bull named Lola. Melissa loves meeting clients and their pets and wants them to feel welcome when they come to our clinic. She enjoys helping clients any way she can and loves working with all our great staff. In the past, Melissa worked in human medical billing and insurance.
Cindy has been working for Battle Ground Veterinary Clinic since 1997. She has a Bachelors Degree in Animal Science from Purdue. Cindy enjoys talking to clients about their pets; especially funny or unique ways their pets behave or things they do. She is grateful to be able to serve clients by caring for their pets.
Emily is a student at Purdue University in the Veterinary Technician program. She enjoys seeing animals improve after coming to the clinic sick or injured, and finds great satisfaction in knowing she has contributed to their recovery, well being, and improved quality of life. When not at school or work she enjoys spending time with her dog Fergie and cat Leo.
